FESTIVE BIRDS EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

With Bettina Reeves and Mayumi Takahagi

A day in which to make decorative textile birds, embellished with embroidery or appliqué, and sequins for extra sparkle. These may be the centrepiece of your Christmas decorations, or become a treasured gift.

Bettina and Mayumi have made the beautiful birds and other creatures for Christmas at the Angel for several years - as well as the giant textile sculptures which adorn the Abergavenny Market Hall each year.

An exciting and therapeutic day, spent with good company and delicious food. A chance to play with fabrics, threads and sequins.

Suitable for all levels.

Date: Monday 5th October

Location: The Angel Hotel, Abergavenny

Cost: £100 per person

The day will start with tea, coffee and biscuits at 9.45am, with the class starting at 10am. Lunch will be provided at 1pm (all dietary requirements catered for) then afternoon cakes and scones with tea and coffee before you leave. We will provide everyone with a template and range of materials, sequins, equipment and other decorations to choose from but please feel free to bring along any of your own equipment or different materials that you may wish to use
